Am I in danger? It started with a slight scratchy throat that turned into what looks like a cold. The symptoms are severe headaches , wheezing , coughing up yellow / green mucus , joint pains , dizziness .

Most respiratory infections are caused by viruses , viral infections usually disappear within a week or so. However, an occasional viral respiratory infection complicated by a bacterial infection (sinusitis or pneumonia ) . In these cases , your symptoms do not improve until after 10 to 14 days, and seems to be getting worse instead of better , or seems to be better when it gets sick again . If your symptoms do not improve , see your doctor for a checkup.
