As drink some cold water begin to notice a fever, sore throat and cough. The doctor says it could be a sinus infection in my nose. Could it perhaps be an allergy in the throat?

I can not improve the diagnosis to be made a doctor who has examined you in person. It seems that the diagnosis is well done. Could also be a viral infection (a cold) if symptoms have only lasted a few days.
