How long can the pain in the glands after infection ? I recently had a nasty outbreak of gastroenteritis with food poisoning and infection, it lasted about 3 weeks. I was given several medications , antibiotics and I've taken yogurt .

Overall, lymphadenopathy (swelling and tenderness of the lymph nodes due to infection or inflammation) is passed in about 3-4 weeks. You will notice that the nodules enhance when you finish the medication.
