Cervical Sprains or more commonly known as whiplash usually leave residual aftermath pain if are not cured properly. This requires not immobilize long with cervical collar (use only a few hours during the first 72 hours), perform anti-inflammatory drug therapy and local heat as well as a rehabilitation program with traction , electrotherapy , massage and perhaps most importantly, a program of stretching exercises for cervical spine muscles that the patient must learn properly and perform daily and indefinitely at home to avoid the sequel referred pain.
