I have a bad earache and infections. After the shower my ears hurt inside. I shake my head on both sides, I dry with a tissue and leaves a lot of water, I have proven myself plugs.

The ear canals balance the pressure between the middle ear and the external. If you do get water even with earplugs, perhaps be more sensitive to infections. I recommend you try with cotton soaked in Vaseline.
