I have a rash on my left arm which was originally a mosquito bite but has spread to the back of the arm, neck and ears. I've had similar rashes in the past.

Skeeter syndrome is an allergic reaction to mosquito bites, and is characterized by inflammatory and fever. The condition is generated by the allergenic polypeptides present in the saliva of the mosquito, and therefore is not infectious.
