I have chest pains that come and go , I am very tired even after sleeping for hours headache. Is it just fatigue?
Creatine kinase (CK) consists of several isoenzymes: CK-MB, CK-MM and CK-BB. The elevation of any or all of these isoenzymes indicate cell damage somewhere in your body, and the elevation of a specific isozyme is often associated with a particular cause - for example, if high CK-MB in someone having chest pain may be a sign of heart attack. Fortunately or unfortunately, there are many causasa to raise their CK, including hypothyroidism, autoimmune diseases, certain cancers, and a variety of muscle disorders. Many of these causes - hypothyroidism and autoimmune diseases, for example - tend to cause persistent and profound fatigue, and some (eg, rheumatoid arthritis and sarcoidosis), can even cause intermittent sounds in the chest. Consult your doctor, who will perform a checkup.
