There are a number of conditions that can cause chronic diarrhea, including irritable bowel syndrome , intestinal infections (eg Giardia , parasites, etc. . ) , Celiac disease , metabolic disorders (eg diabetes ) , impaired lactose and inflammatory bowel disease ( Crohn 's disease or ulcerative colitis ) . Medical evaluation is warranted in this case, including an examination of the feces and (possibly) an upper and lower endoscopy.
