I have strong and recurring headaches, pain in the feet and ankles, burning in the chest that seems more chest pain. Why? I am insulin dependent diabetic for 21 years, should I be concerned about recurring headaches.
Since more than 20 years ago you are diabetic, you should know that there are more likely to have health problems than non-diabetics. Many of these problems, at first, may not seem related to diabetes. For example, your headaches may be caused by the same problems of non-diabetics (tension headaches) or may be due to ups and downs of your glucose. Same with a burning chest pain may be due to acid reflux (it is more common in diabetics) or may be angina. Finally, the pain in your feet or ankles can be caused by many problems of osteoarthritis, but may be the result of diabetic arthropathy, or a type of arthritis that is unique in diabetics. If you have not gone to the doctor, I suggest you go.
