My doctor says I might have a mitral valve prolapse . However, there is a waiting list of 10 months to an echocardiogram performed. My symptoms persisted and sometimes worse , chest pain , rapid heart rate and difficulty breathing What should I do ?

If you still have not made an echocardiogram can not secure the diagnosis of Mitral Valve Prolapse . Even though it would have made the PVM NOT cause these symptoms. Doctors blame the PVM of many things that really have no bearing . No treatment for PVM and any help is required. If waiting for Echocardiography is so long you are included in the health system wrong .
