Took 3 days with sore throat, body aches and cough. I have pus pockets in the back of my throat. Could it be strep throat? Could spread more easily if it's hot? I have small children.

It is difficult to diagnose strep throat infection based only on clinical symptoms. You need to go to the ER to take a sample of the throat. Usually , the infection does not cause strep throat or cough runny nose .
