What can be the cause for pain in the shoulder blade, shoulder and arm? What is the treatment for this pain?
The most common causes of pain in that region may be by a stroke, an accident or a muscle strain. The main culprit is the trapezius muscle, which is a large muscle that covers the top of the back, shoulders and back of the neck. The trapezius muscle works with neck and upper back to support the head and collaborates with various shoulder muscles to stabilize and move the shoulder blades (also called blades) and the shoulder joint. The weakness of muscles, bad posture, even emotional stress can also cause pain. The treatments are exercise-rehabilitation, postural correction, local heat and analgesics.
