What can cause the appearance of small hard lumps on the back, arms and abdomen? They are small, hard lumps (about the size of a pea or a small coin). Those that I have on the left side of my back just below my shoulder blades and create the feeling of pulling the bottom of my back every time I move in bed.

There are many problems that could be causing this, but the point here is that any new lump or bump should be evaluated by a doctor. Please consult your doctor to make a medical evaluation. Lipomas, fibromas, cysts and other causes could be some possibilities. Should be examined for a proper diagnosis.
