What symptoms can produce an insect bite "earwigs" on the lips?
Earwig, Dermaptera in the genus, contrary to popular belief is not poisonous. One bite of this insect in the lip (frankly uncommon for a bite of this insect location) can cause pain and local inflammation that are usually short-lived, self-limiting and mild, yielding spontaneously or if necessary with analgesia, antiinflammatory and measures local as ice. However, in case of allergy, eg to any component of the chitinous exoskeleton, can appear associated symptoms systemic, such as difficulty breathing, wheezing or "whistling", generalized itching or skin rash, in this case, reference must be made immediately to the emergency room.
